Easter Festivities

Monday - March 29, 2010
For Easter this year, we celebrated in the, sort of usual, way... we had our Annual Wade Family Easter Hunt, we "usually" go to the Cabin and do it, but certain circumstances allowed us to stay here and do it... This is the kids all lined up ready to go out and search the yard for candy!!! Take notice to Bron's green pants and Boston's blue pants... they both had "accidents" and are wearing pajama bottoms ha ha... I couldn't resist a picture..... years from now we'll look back and tease the two of them, both for peeing there pants...

Ready, Set, GO!!!
Out in the yard we rush to gather as much candy as possible... Bron did great finding candy and parachute guys galore!!!

Parker scoren some candy...
and Max
Bron with a bag full of goodies...
Max's bag
and Park's
They of course dump it all out to see what they got and to check for the candy with a sticker on it... Ken usually puts stickers on candy, certain stickers worth certain prizes... this years sticker was for the marble egg... Parker was happy for grandma who won it this year... Parker had won it for the last 3 or 4 years in a row ha ha... we passed the title onto someone else this year...

Later we did a pinata, the boys had a great time hitting it... Bron was hilarious and really got into it, he had quite the "stantz" he's got a pretty darn good arm for a 3 year old ha ha...

We had a good ol' time at the hunt, it was a little different not doing it at the Cabin, partially my fault due to being 8 months pregnant... I typically don't travel far the last month cause I always go early!! Thanks for sacrificing on my behalf... (there were other reasons too though)... but we had a ton of fun!! Wouldn't be Easter without the Wade Easter Hunt!!!

A few days later, Friday April 2nd, we dyed Easter Eggs at home with Grammy PaPa....
It was a great egg dying experience this year, all the kids were able to pretty much do it by themselves, we had no major spills or breaks... breaks yes but nothing "major" ha ha... the kids are gett'n older, I had prepared the table for major disasters but we walked away with great colored eggs and not a mug of dye spilt all over the table!
Bron really enjoyed dying the egg then spending 15 minutes coloring every inch of it... then he discovered the stickers and spent another 15 minutes covering every inch of the egg with stickers... he was cute and was dying eggs for certain people...

I'm sure he got the idea from Park who made an egg for his soon-to-be little sister... so cute!!!!
... and of course we can't dye eggs without making a BYU one!! Brad did this one!

Max wanted to make one for Reese too, more pink of course!

Bron's sticker egg, it was very cute he was very quiet and really set and covering that thing...
After all the dying, the kids slept out in the front room again... we've been trying to do something fun everyday cause it's also Spring Break, I told them they could do this sometime during the break... They just love it!

Easter Morning... Sunday - April 4, 2010 the kids got up and we looked for baskets first thing... Brad and Parker went to the morning session of General Conference so we had to make sure to get the baskets found before they left... Max found his in my closet...
Bron found his under the kitchen sink...
... he ripped into it before Parker even had a chance to find his...
Parker's was in his laundry basket....
Max, looking 'super excited' about his basket... he really did like what he got... mostly the goggles actually, him and park both got goggles for the swimming lessons they are about to start.
I had to snap a pic of them all in their Easter Shirts, they looked so cute, I always take like 5 pictures... these two were the best of the 5...
...leave it to Bron... he always, always pulls some type of cheeser... it's so funny!
Later that day we went to mom's for more Easter Activities.. This year the kids all got a bag and were assigned to gather only a certain color egg... Parker had to get all the blue eggs, Max - green, and Bron - purple.
Cute Elli & Bron
Syd and Park
Bron and O
Carter & Max
We also played pin the whiskers on the bunny...
and the group shot... Max, Carter, Parker, Sydney,
Avery, Boone, Owen, Bron & Elli
They are sooo cute, they all looked adorable in their bright Easter shirts... we teased Kara that her's were St. Patricks Day shirts... Notice they're all in GREEN! I think she really did do it on purpose... bought them for both Holidays...leave it to Kara to think thrifty...

After the hunt and games we had a FHE lesson on the REAL meaning of Easter then had a delicious dinner, We had a great EASTER!!!

You really need to get a close up mug shot of Bron flashing that hilarious grin with his eyes closed! That is his trademark grin!
