Parker turns 7!!!

Parker and his closest buddies... he has a few, very cute, GOOD friends... let's hope we can keep it that way thru out the years....

Parker turned 7 on the 27th, we invited his best little buddies over and had a blast!! They started out by playing on the tramp, each kid took a turn doing a trick and then the other boys judged him, it was funny watching them, they would get in a huddle and all throw out numbers, they scored anywhere from 100 points to 1oo, 250.... they just kept throwing out these huge, half the time made up, numbers.... it was funny, then we played football charades, also funny, and musical chairs which was hilarious, we made them dance around to Micheal Jackson's "Beat it", we were laughing our butts off... then we opened presents, played with new presents and had cake... the boys had tons of fun, ...

We also had Brad's FAMILY over Sunday night, Parker got LOTS of good PRESENTS and got HOOKED up with some major CASH... lucky boy, all and all it was very much a success!!! And now our oldest is 7 , time sure flys by... Parker has come along way and has grown up to be so much fun and such a good brother and son we are so proud of him... this will be a big year for him while he prepares for baptism next year ...

St. Patricks Day

Our St. Patrick's Day ... wouldn't be complete without green shamrock pancakes and new St. Patty's Day shirts...

in the morning the table was set with green cups, placemats, a gold dollar from the leprechauns, and a leprechaun face for the kids to draw....

I love holidays... even the small ones like this that change up the routine a little, we always have fun making green food and drinks....

Great Brain!!

Parker had a project at school called The Great Brain Report, they had to pick a topic and study it and then do a report on it, bringing in visual aids and what not, he presented his Great Brain Report on Basketball, on Tuesday....
he seriously did sooo good I was very impressed with our little guy, we had gotten everything together for it and had been practicing for about a week and it paid off, he was such a pro...
he talked about all sorts of things like how and who started the game to how many little bumps are on a 9 inch basketball (31,029, just so ya know)
We are so proud of our Parker, he read everything perfectly and remembered all the parts he was supposed to say (not read) he wrote on the board, he passed things around... showed people how tall (with a measuring tape) the tallest basketball player is (7ft. 7 in.) and had the kids guess how many bumps are on the ball, this was my favorite part we talked about that it would be fun to have them guess but never really practiced that part, so he got to that point and said "now I am going to have you guess how many little bumps are on a 9 inch basketball" kids raised their hands and would guess and he would tell them more or less, it was soooo cute!! Anyways as you can tell I just am so proud of him, he is doing so well in school, he is a smart little guy!! Way to go BUD!!
... the whole fam supporting their Parker :)

... they say it's your birthday...

... So I had a birthday, I turned 29, and as I write that it just seems kinda weird but it is what it is, next year the big 30! I know some people have a hard time getting older and turning 30 but I think I'll be fine with it, I'm looking forward to these more mature years I feel like they will the prime years of my life, I look back on how I was and who I was at even like 21 and 22, and I've changed and have learned a lot and like who I am, so it's only gonna get better right... and there is of course that small part of you that feels like your still 18 so it's weird to get older but in all reality we're all quite different than what we were at that age... anyways deep thoughts by Jen Wade... I look forward to what lies ahead in life and the years to come...
so the birthday was pritty laid back, Max and Bron were not feeling well so we stayed home all day and Brad worked all day so it was pretty much just a regular day.... we did make pizza for dinner which was kinda fun, I had some biscuit dough and some sauce, cheese, pepperoni and olives so we whipped up some mini pizza's and just hung out at home, later Brad and I watched 16 Candles, ( a birthday present I bought for myself) and one of my favorite classics...
we had plans to go out saturday so it worked out fine to just chill at home with the kiddies...

so Saturday we went to Cheesecake Factory ( I have no photos to show for our weekend events so this is as good as it gets) ... I love this place... my favorite Resteraunt is the Garden but my birthday is the 6th and my friend Tom's birthday is the 5th so we have been (the last couple years) doing a combo party for US and we BOTH like this place, so this is where we went... it is so yummy and the cheesecake is so yummy, so we ate there then went back to our friends house, the North's, and just hung out... it was a lovely evening of delicious food and great company ~
like I said I didn't really remember to take pictures so later I decided to take pictures of all my fun presents, Brad got me two really cute purses and an adorable blue dress (funny photo below) and I got some new clips for my bike (thanks Tricia) and some shoes to go with that (thanks Tricia ) which I'm so excited for and can't wait to put them on my bike... and I got some "capes" ha ha for cutting hair, lip gloss, and a scale (thanks Tom and Annie) I cut Tom's hair and every time I do I use a cut up garbage bag to put on him cause I don't have a cape so they got me some capes, adult and kids, I'm so excited to use them and I know everyone I cut hair for will be glad too :) ha ha... and the scale... seems like kinda a funny present but Andrea and I were talking about how we needed one and that it may be more motivation for loosing those extra 5 lbs... and then I got a cute shirt and earings (thanks Shea and Ben ) and a cute braclet and travel contact case... (thanks Sara and Devin) Nail Care collection from Jenny and Aaron that I just used and loved, my nails look fabulous, and shiny right now, and a good ol Walmart gift card from Chad (Brad's brother... ) anyways long list but I really loved all my presents it's so fun to get new stuff Thanks so much to everyone!!! Here's to one more year in my twenties :)

I made Brad take a picture of me in my cute blue dress, I was so proud of him to pick it out all by himself (so he says) and get the right size and everything... he's good, Thanks babe :)

I look really auquered here... if the dress weren't so cute I would NOT have added this picture.... it was late, come on give me a break...

.... all odds against me, and Spring Fever

sooo.... I made bread again today, and from the looks of these two pictures it seems as though I got off with a rough start... (again) which I did... I went to pour the wheat into the grinder and the lid came off the container I keep it in... needless to say it went everywhere!!!!

... once I got it all cleaned up I went to my sister Kara's cause we decided we wanted to make it together she wants to start making it more too, so we had the kids playing we were putting things in right all was going well. Kara has a double oven she put hers in the bottom mine went in the top, the recipe says to pre-heat the oven to 150 then turn it OFF and put the bread in to rise... so I did that BUT I pushed cancel on the bottom oven NOT the TOP soooo until Kara noticed, it sat in the oven for 15 minutes ON so of course it messed it up AGAIN... but not terribly it still turned out good actually I figured out I had the wrong size pans soooo.... now after 3 times of trying I think I've figured it out, we'll see next time if I can do it with no problems geeesh!!! But it was pretty much a success this time, this whole time it's tasted good it was just flat but now it's NOT. I'm so excited and feeling pretty good about it all.
... thanks Kara, it was so fun to do it together, I love getting together with any of my sisters we just laugh and have fun :)

Safe Kids Expo...
.... last weekend we went to the southtown expo center where they this safe kids thing going on, it was free so we took the kids and they had a few fun things to do, we took there picture by this cool race car and they did a bike rodeo...

they had to wear these hair nets cause of the helmets ... it was hiliarious !!! Parker was so funny he didn't want to wear but was laughing about it then pulled this face just to be funny...
.... just something to do, they had other stuff like face painting, and a thing where they could throw a softball and do some batting practice, and kick a soccer ball into a "goal", they got to look at cop car, and Parker got to do the thing where they strap ya in and let you feel what it's like to get in car wreck... anyways they had lots going on and it was all Free so kinda fun to do something SOMEWHAT entertaining that didn't cost anything...

Spring fever
I have a love-hate relationship with this time of year, I LOVE that it's starting to get warm out again and the kids can OUTside to play, but just when ya think it's gonna stay warm it snows... which I heard is, of course, in the forecast.... uugghh....

Bron was loving the weather, he went and got his blanket and just layed in the sun!!! Too bad it's gonna get cold again... lame!
