...staying busy

Before....

Well in my attempts to stay busy, so as to keep my mind of things... and to get something crossed off my "to do" list, on a whim I totally painted and re-did Bron's room... We had plans to go to Twin Falls this last weekend but ended up not going. Brad ended up working which left me with nothing to do on Saturday, so I decided I would re-do Bron's room, I have been wanting to paint it, pretty much since I painted it originally, it was always too Green... so I painted it Green ha ha ... but I painted the lower portion the shade darker than the upper portion and then just re-arranged... I had no money to do anything to cute and crazy but I'm liking the change better than it was, and the two toned green looks so much better.


After... I moved his bed to the other side of the wall... and hung up a quilt that I had... He has his big basket ball thing in his room that doesn't exactly go with the theme so I thought the "sports quilt" might help a little.

so I moved the dresser where the bed was, and the cedar chest under the window.... and just hung stuff in different places...










I even, carefully, taped off his star above his light switch... so I could still keep it, it turned out cute with a little light green border... I had to peel off some other vinyl lettering I had in there...

I know most of you really don't care.. but I love to decorate and was excited about my results that costs so little... re-arranging always makes me feel better.

The bathroom is next...

"summer buzz" ???

So we had quite the day yesterday... it started off to be a nice lazy morning... BUT then Bron was playing with Parker and hit his head on an old box I have... and was bleeding all over, he wouldn't let me look at and I couldn't tell how bad it was... I called Brad at work, and he came home,( I don't do well with blood, and needed a second opinion) it was hard to see cause his hair was matted all over it... so we took out the clippers and shaved that area so we could get a good look at it,(ridiculous task) and clean it out good... turned out it wasn't that bad, no stitches needed... I got Bron settled down... but Then...
.... I put him down to go to the bathroom...I was gone for 2 minutes!!! I'm in the bathroom and what do I hear, Yes the clippers turn on...(I had not gotten the chaos cleaned up,) I came out to find Max had taken a chunk out of his hair... all I could do was laugh... and grab the camera. So needless to say, we spent the rest of the afternoon, giving haircuts, taking baths, cleaning up hair, and other mess... and trying to get a band-aid to stick on a head wound...

...Luckily they are boys.. ha ha so giving them a nice "summer" buzz was no big deal, but it did make for a crazy afternoon.

Draper Temple

We went to the Draper Temple Open House with Brad's family last night.... it was a great experience, We met at a church where they have you watch a little 10 minute video, which was put together well. It was a good way to invite the spirit and was a reminder for me of how blessed we are to be surrounded by so many beautiful Temples.... AfTeR thE MoViE....then they load you up on buses and take you up to the Temple... It was such a neat thing to be able to take our boys, who love the temple,( every car ride, there is without fail, someone who yells, "I see the temple")... They have a true interest in it and what happens there, and are always asking questions about it.... It was great to be able to take them inside and show them how beautiful it is, and explain what each rooms purpose is... each room is very pretty and unique.... It seems like such a "classy" Temple.... if that makes any sense.... I was so glad we had the opportunity to show our boys to help them understand how special of a place it is... WE are so blessed to live where we do, and to be able to attend so easily and often.

I was gonna post this when I posted the other birthday photos but I didn't have time... I thought it was so cute... It's Bron opening some sticker books... one which is Mickey Mouse... Max plays Mickey Mouse Clubhouse games on the computer so Bron knows "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" pretty good, this is him saying Mickey Mouse.... Clubhouse... pretty cute... at least I thought it was...

Birthday time!!!

So our baby is two!!! Two seems so old, Bron is just a little toddler now... I don't know why but they hit two and it's officially no more baby... We had such a fun day on his birthday....
Started out just nice lazy morning, opened presents... had breakfast....
then hooked up with my fam to do a combo birthday party... Kara and Jesse both have their birthdays in January so we do a combo party for them and Bron.... We have decieded to do this thru out the year, we have enough birthdays the same in each month that we can combine them and do combo parties... each time taking turns planning it... I planned this one... we first went sledding...
...We all had tubes but of course my dad came with this... all of you who know my day, know it's typical of him to go all out, he is so fun and we had a blast sledding on this huge thing!!!
I think we fit up to like 10 people on it or something...??? Above is Kara and her fam

...After we were done sledding we went back to my moms for homemade soup that was ready to go in crock-pots... and delcious homemade rolls and salad.... opened presents, played games,...
....had cake, each birthday person gets their own cake, Jesse wanted Carrot cake, which cute Hailey made... Kara wanted cheese cake and Bron got reg. chocolate cake...
Kara and Bron.... we had so much fun doing our combo party, I would highly suggest doing it in your own families... GoOd TiMeS!!!!

SuNdAy!!!!

.... Then on Sunday we had Brad's family over for Bron's birthday... Bron did awesome blowing out his candles he blew them out all by himself... it was so cute.

Thanks for the fun presents and helping with dinner.... it's so fun to get together!!!!

Accountability

Ok so check this out... my sister Kara has started a blog. I wanted to take a minute and tell everyone about it.... it's probably best to just go to the link and read it yourselves but I'll give ya a little sum up, she loves to write... she wants to loose weight... she has combined the two, and made this blog. It's basically going to be her journey thru the experience.... So if anyone is interested in following it I can gaurantee you'll be inspired and laughing too, and if you have made the New Years Resolution to loose a little weight like most of us do, you should totally keep tabs on this, I think you'll find it very interesting and be able to feel like your not alone.... Kara is totally awesome and I love her to death, I'm excited for her experiences to be shared! I wish her the best and support her 100 % !!! Love ya sista!!!

Happy New Year!!!/ Birthday Party!!!

We spent the evening with our bestest friends... and had a blast!!!

Good food!!

Fun games... we played the wii, did a little Kareoke and had some laughs....
Lot's of noise... fireworks, pots and pans, and of course bombs made by Brad....

Max and Elle crashed but all the older boys stayed up... they had a blast, I can't believe Parker stayed up... he was not even tired, and was not wanting to go... the little party animal.
Here's to 2009!!! I love the New Year, It's always fun to think of what lies ahead of us in our lives, what changes will come, what trials and hardache we will face and what JOYs we will experience... May 2009 be totally awesome for all!!!!

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRICIA, Her Birthday is January 1st. What a fun Birthday.... she is 30 by the way so if you know her and see her feel free to give her a hard time... ha ha
