Pioneer Day

We spent the day pretty much playing outside all day...my dad bought a new water bounce house... it was pretty cool it had like 3 water slides that all came down into this pool of water... Well I spent the day sitting and sleeping I felt like Crap all day, it was awefull so I took pictures and watched everyone play....

Cute Elli
We call this the Peralise Plunge, named after a really wet ride at Knottsberry farm, it's basically like 10 people dumping 5 gallons each of cold water on you... I opted out this year...
they were running and diving into the pool
and they played PIG...

this was one of Andy's shots... you had to spray water in your face and then shoot the ball.... sorry B but I had to post this... it's just too funny :) I'm not sure who ended up winning...
Max & Park...
Baby Boone... who is just learning to walk... he's so cute...

Bron playing with one of the water guns...
Owen, eaten crackers and chillen...
all the kiddies...

then later that night after we ate some delicous food and watched fireworks, we played German Spotlight again... Parker has been bugging us to play ever since we played it that last time... so we played a few rounds... pretty dang fun... I of couse sat out... it sucks to be sick on a Holiday... and at all for that matter but especially when everyone is having so much fun... I'm feeling a little better now... . I'm not one who gets sick very often, which I thankful for cause it's no good....

Jesse sporten his black outfit...Kara sneaking... about to finish...

the boys being funny by putting buckets on their head... they thought this would be a discration and help with not getting caught..Fun Times!!!

Wheeler Farm & Draper Days... sort of...

We went to good ol' wheeler farm the other day with our friends... it was pretty much really hot, so we ate lunch, walked around for a bit then went home...
we'll have to go back when it's not so hot, cause Bron was loving the animals, he's at a good age for this type of thing... he kept saying "animals", as we were headed to the car...

Draper Days....
a newer tradition, the last 3 or 4 years, we have done outdoor movie, parade, and Draper Day's fireworks... we do the outdoor movie Friday night, and then go to the Draper Parade in the morning... several years ago we tried the whole Draper Days festivities at the Park and in was pretty much lame, hot, and crowded so we usually go to the parade, go swimming at Grandma Maurer's, have a BBQ, and then go to the fireworks in the Lee's backyard, (one of Brooke's old friends from high school who's parents live close to the park) We were short a few family members this year so it was a little different, but we still had fun...
Max & Grammy
Bron chillen waiting for the parade to start...
As usual Parker was in the parade with Brad for the cleaners... he loves being in it and passing out all the goods to the crowd, he's a trooper and walks the whole way, runnen otter pops to everyone... he's so cute, he thinks it's just great!!!

we sit near the end... so Parker & Brad were able to be in the parade and then come watch the rest of it with us...
Max really enjoyed making funny faces in the camera, he may have liked this better than the parade... he's such a goof...

... the day you were born, you were born free...

.... that is your privilege... Brad & I had the privilege to go see INCUBUS in concert last night, and it was AWESOME!!! They are our favorite BAND... we decided this year to get "pit" tickets, and are so glad we did... we were so close it was rad!!! We hung out in the back of the pit, cause we didn't want to be caught up in the people, it did get a little crazy on a couple of their songs that they played from S.C.I.E.N.C.E. an older album that is pretty hard core...

as you can see, we could see pretty good,...
view with a zoom...
...our view without a zoom

just a few picts, we had a blast... its so fun to see them play LIVE!!!

Upper Bells

Brad and I went for a little overnighter camp trip to his current favorite piece of the mountain... it was so fun, killer hike, but so beautiful, we started Saturday morning and were on the trail by 6:10 am, we got up to the lake in 3 hours and 45 minutes... Brad and I used to go all the time before the chillies came along, so I hadn't been hiking, like that, in a while. Brad times himself every time, this was his fastest time yet, so I was thrilled I didn't slow him down...... this was not one of my favorite parts, it was flat which was nice cause the whole thing is pretty steep but all these ferns, that were as tall as me, made me feel closterphobic, it made for a fun pic though...

Great view....
this is the dam right before the lake...
...we got picked up by Clayton & Cousin Matt so we didn't have to hike around the lake which I was grateful for...
Home Sweet Home

...? nice stance, not sure what's going on here, Clayton took this pic, Brad just caught this fish...
... we went fishing several different times...
... and saw clayton up on mountain, while we were in the boat, doing a little boulderin...
a view from the boat of the mountain reflecting off the water....
Clayton, Cousin, and Brad... Clayton is Brad's buddy who he actually met up here and they came instant little buddies and "cousin" is Brad's cousin Matt, these three seem to be the ones who make it up to this "little slice of heaven" the most... probably because Clayton & Matt are not married... ha ha
The sun setting... we hurried across the lake and took a little 5 min. hike over to where we could see the city, and the sun going down... it was fabulous!

later we let off some fireworks that Clayton had, and some roman candles, that Brad had... it was pretty entertaining, and loud, ha ha...
it was cool cause they reflected off the lake...
... and the hike down...

we had lots of fun, and I literally took about 100 pictures so this is only a piece of what we saw... it is just beautiful, we live in such a pretty place... I've been craving to get up in the mountains so I was thrilled we could go, Brad does this hike a lot and if you know him at all you know how much he LOVES the mountains!! It's his "thing" and it was fun to be able to go together again... cause I LOVE the mountains too, hopefully we can make it up again before summer is over...
