The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

So for a while now... a long while I've said I was going to make homemade bread and stop buying it at the store... so TODAY was the DAY... I got out my RECIPE and went to work.... (the good)
GROUND the WHEAT...
put the first bit of INGREDIENTS in...
.... and the second, so far so good....
THEN... BRON decided to CHANGE his own POOPY DIAPER... (the bad)
he has turned into a very INDEPENDENT CHILD, if he wants something he gets it... most things he can't reach so he gets the stool and does it himself... which in some case is GrEaT and HELPFUL, but not so much in this case... so mid bread making I was trying to CLEAN UP this mess. He had taken off the diaper and gotten the stool and turned on the sink so we had, you know what and water all over... so all the while I was doing this I got a little flustered and the Bread Making went a little south...
I went thru a half a roll of paper towels and lots of lysol (the ugly) don't worry, hands were thoroughly sanitized after this process.
this was him telling me not take pictures... he was mad cause he was in trouble....and he didn't want to get out of the shower...
I got the water part all mixed up and it mixed for too long cause I was a little busy... so uuuh the end result, is well FLAT, it tastes GREAT, just didn't rise so GOOD... so at least it wasn't a total waste...
NOTE TO SELF: make sure 2 year old child is either asleep or content (and not poopy) when making BREAD!!!

Goodwood, Hot Pots and Games...

We wanted to get away for the weekend so with some last minute planning we round up some friends to go with us to Midway, our friends Tom and Annie came with us...(and Ben and Tricia were there in spirit) ( we missed you) we went to Ogden first and ate dinner at GoodWood.... we had to go there to drop off some things for their nephew who was sending his girlfriend on a scavenger hunt, with a purposal ending.... it was a cute idea... so we ate there while the "girlfriend" joined us for a bit to scarf down some wings as part of her "to do" list... anyways so we had dinner then headed up Ogden Canyon to Midway, we stayed at Brad's dad's cabin... and we went to the Hot Pots they have up there...
we met our friend Jed and his brother BJ up there ... (courtney you were missed too)it was an interesting experince I have never been to a "natural" hot springs... and by natural I guess I mean swampy... I've been to indoor natural hot springs... but this was crazy... it was .... well HOT!!! surprisingly hot! there was a little spot that was "damed" off so it was cooler and we hung out there the most .... it was a fun adventure I'm just glad it was dark, cause who knows what else was lurking about.

Jed, BJ, Tom and Andrea

Brad -Me- Tom-and Andrea...
Afterwards the four of us went back to the cabin and played pool, and fuse ball, Andrea kicked our butt's in pool we played individually keeping track of our score by the number ball you hit in, she got like 50 Tom and Brad got like 2o something... and I got 3... ya 3... hhmm oh well it was fun, Then we played best out of 3 in fuse ball sadley Tom and I lost it was pretty intense though... and my arm really does still hurt from playing so hard... ha ha... then I think we spent the remainder of our evening playing 1-100, a dice game, and ended up playing hang man... we stayed up till about 2 something... it was a fun evening withOUT the kids, Thanks ma an Pa for watching the chillies, they didn't want to come home.... and thanks to Ken & Mary for letting us stay at the Cabin...gotta love a quick overnighter to refresh us from the kids... We had a blast!

Valentines, a Birthday, & hangen out at home...

On Friday, Parker and Max dumped out all their Valentines on the couch, they got a lot of yummy treats, Bron helped himself to all the suckers... and Max to all the chocolate. :)
Valentines Day is not one of my favorite Holidays... I'm not sure why, but I do try and make it fun for the kids, the night before I put a trail of paper hearts, cupids, and balloons all over the house... we had heart french toast, with heart banana slices... and I got them Valentines Shirts (red) and a Valentine Movie...
Valentines Day was also my Grandpa Bevan's 85th Birthday Party at my Uncle Craig's house, so we spent the afternoon chatting with family and celebrating cute Gradpa Bevan's life... my aunt had everyone write down some of their fondest memories of Grandpa which were really neat to read, and she made a small video of some of his life, that we watched, it was fun to see some old picts of handsome old grandpa.
... it took a team of about 9 to light all 85 candles...
... it's kinda hard to blow out 85 candles all at once...
he gave it his all... Uncle Richard stood behind, ready to catch him just in case ha ha ha...
cute great grandkids front row watching all the excitment.
chatting with Gramps...

Happy Birthday Grandpa... LOVE YOU!!!!

I had to post this picture... I took it a couple days ago... I was sitting on the couch and had Max and Bron sitting on my lap, Parker was laying on the floor and we were all watching TV, DAD comes walking in the room and lays with Parker so OF COURSE the two other boys get off mom's lap and go lay with dad... apparently I'm chopped liver when Dad comes around... it was very cute, they do love their dad :)

my cute boys!!!

I dare you!

So I was cleaning our from under and behind my fridge, and ya this was all under it... so here's my dare... I dare you to clean out from under your fridge anyone who can beat my 15 items found and who has more dust than I do wins a prize.... same goes for the cleanest under the fridge, you pull yours out and it's clean I'll give you a prize too.
... and either that's a lot of dust or a lot of little spirits looking over my pore OLD fridge....

fine print: Meggie and Kalli may not participate in this contest... Meggie because I'm sure yours is clean and Kalli cause you just moved in to your house so it's clean too, and there's really no prizes.

...King for a day.

Max wanted a "king" birthday... he saw the idea in a magazine and decided to go with it... so we got him a crown...
.. and made him a king shirt... we had a fun day, we had friends stop by and visit and give him presents and we went to see madagascar 2, and then later....
....We had a birthday party at my mom's Pizza, cake and ice cream and presents... which he whipped thru like non-other...

... and then Wade's came over Sunday,

Thanks to everyone who made Max's birthday fun, he LOVES his birthday, we had to make a chain so he would stop asking how many days it was till his big day... he is so much fun and such a character he is always saying stuff that makes me laugh and makes me think... he seems to understand things well, it's kinda hard to explain but for a four year old he seems to have a lot of thoughts and understanding of things... I know people always say I can't believe he's getting so old... but in this case I actually feel like he's not old enough it seems like he should be turning 5, it may catch up to him but right now I feel like he's wise beyond his years... he is a great kid!! We LOve OuR MaX KouGaR!

Project: -BABY BOOK-

Finished!! Well it's done, I've been meaning to finsih Bron's baby book for quite sometime, so a couple weeks ago I decided just to do it. It was on my New Years resolution list of Projects to finish... so I got all my stuff out and kept it out until I finished it, it took me a couple weeks, but it's done!!! oooh I'm so glad to have it finished. Now to move onto my other unfinished projects... other scrapbooks... and Bron's "baby" blanket. I can't decide which project to do first the other scrapbooks cause I have all my stuff out, or the sewing project... I think I'm sick of scrapbooking for a while... so we'll see, I also figured if I blog about it and say "I'm now going to work on Bron's "baby" blanket " I have more reason to get it done.... I'm feeling pretty good about my unfinished projects though, Bron's room and now his baby book, are crossed off the list... no more sayen oooh I gotta work on that... just DO it!
