Vegas Baby!

My sister Kara, put together a girls only Vegas Ragnar Team. So a group of 12 girls loaded up into two mini vans and "ran away" to Vegas!! If your not familiar with the Ragnar Race, google it, ha.. cause it's awesome, a group of 12 people, split up into 6 people per van and run a relay race of about 200 miles. Vegas Ragnar is a 188 mile course from Lake Mead to Las Vegas!

We stopped in St. George and loaded up on some dinner, then drove to Henderson NV, and checked into a hotel! After check-in, we were going to head to the store to load up on race food, we ran into a minor problem, Kara's van wouldn't start! We eventually jumped it, and drove around looking for an auto store... found one, got a new battery and thought we were good to go...

It was a bit of first night, once we got to the auto place, after a few U turns...the hood to the van wouldn't open, it took us a while to get it, Becky K. used her man power and finally got it! Yes the man who was there couldn't get it either, it took a real "woman" to do it! So LONG story short, we got  a new battery that night, but it ended up having more problems than that, (sort of,) Van 1 eventually ended up renting another Van and finishing the race with the rental, after they almost ran out of gas too cause they couldn't turn it off! It was a bit crazy, but makes for a good story...

I love Gonzo so I had to get my picture by him, poor thing, strapped to this car... this was after all of our runs were over, Steph ( my cute Aunt ) was on the last and final leg! Not so fresh and cute anymore! But feel'n good that we were done!!

We (5 of us, out of our group of 12) hit the strip, Saturday night, after a huge buffet meal at Planet Hollywood... we went to the M&M candy store and snapped this cute pic, then watched the Balagio Water Show, that was all we had in us...we were to exhausted so we went to bed!


One more pic of van 2 before we headed home, after a delicious breakfast at the Hash House a Go-Go! so yummy!!!

Was welcomed home with this cute poster! It was so much fun!!! These Ragnar races are addicting! They're just a blast! I'm grateful for a husband who supports my running and watches the kids while I "runaway" for four days!
