Lights at Temple Square

A week or so ago we went to see the lights at Temple Square. This year we went with some friends from our ward.... it ended up being a pretty big group I think we counted like 30 something people?? The Russell's, Newman's, Steven's, Christensen's, Moench's, and the Demille's, and all of our kiddies.... I think that was everyone ha ha... I couldn't get everyone's attention to look so only Jed and Annie are looking in the "group picture"we walked around past the Nativity, and then over to the big Red tree....
I LOVE the Salt Lake Temple!!! And Love how beautiful it looks with the dark sky surrounded by Christmas lights!!!

Our family photo. It turned out so cute, I LOVE it!!!! We had lots of fun, rode tracks down and back, which the kids love to do, the train was packed for the most the way home, so that was kinda crazy, but we had a great time... It's not Christmas unless you have seen Temple Square lights!!! Glad we could squeeze it in.

Well it's official!!!

3 BOYS later, we are getten a GIRL!!!! It's still sinking in, I don't know why I think it's so weird... I honestly was fine with either gender but when the woman said it was a GIRL I couldn't help but CRY!!! I'm so excited for HER to come!!! In the beginning of the pregnancy I honestly didn't want a GIRL, all I could think of was drama and tears, and I LOVE, LOVE having BOYS!!! They are just fun, but the more I thought about it, the more I didn't want to miss out on having a girl, I thought of the future... a wedding day, and grandbabies and that got me really wanting a GIRL of my own... cause those moments aren't the same with BOYS I think... (I can say that now cause it's a girl ha ha) anyways we are super excited. I made Brad immediatly go to Roberts and buy PINK balloons!!! She is already costing us more than the boys did ha ha... here are HER first pictures!!! Isn't she so CUTE already!!!!!

Hope the ultrasound wasn't WRONG or our little BOY might feel real bad when HE comes out... ha ha... I would LOVE him just as much even if it were a mistake... ha ha... can you tell it's still doesn't seem real to me....

Ward Par-tay!!

These are some picts from our ward party we had a couple weeks ago, I forgot my camera, so my good friend Beth snapped a few picts for me, This is Parker thrilled to be singing with the primary... can ya tell all the kids came in their jammy's striaght out of bed... ha hawe had a special visitor come... Max told me he knew he wasn't the real Santa cause he didn't have boots on, just normal shoes...

ooh my cute Brony

Parker, who I'm surprised even went up... he was in a I'm too cool mood, and didn't want to sing with the primary kids, or go see Santa... guess he decided he better let him know what he wanted...

New Zealand Friends...

So one of Brad's old mission comps, who is from New Zealand, came into town a few days ago... we were fortunate enough to spend some time with him and his cute family, we showed them around a little... and took them to the Mayan Resteraunt....The cute Harris family their oldest daughter Ryan, there second daughter Rain, Cute Penny, who I love and will miss, Dave, and Iverson, who Bron will miss...
the kids checken out the divers
Penny, Iverson, Dave, Brad & myself
after we went out to eat we went and got some ice cream at Jordan commons and played some games...

Iverson and Bron got to be good little buddies...

afterwards we took them to see the lights at Thanksgiving point... (but have no pictures to show for it...) and a day or so later we had a little get together at our house with them and some other old Kosrae comps... Brad got a pinata for the kiddies...

I snapped a picture of Brads friend Pututau snaggen some candy just like the kiddies...
and took this one just to give Jenny a hard time, like she was hording all the candy...
Bryce Neeley, Jenny Reber, Jr. Pututua, B-Rad...
Trent & Dave
and Parker being silly with the pinata on his head...
We had a great time with the Harris Family, I will miss them, hopefully they can come back and visit again soon, or us finding ourselves in New Zealand wouldn't be all bad either... we could have some fizzy drink and some biscuits....
The kids were playing with the santa hats so I had to snap a picture.....or two....
decorating the tree, Brad putting on the lights
Bron & his ornament
Max & his....
Park & his....
putting on the rest of the ornaments...

ha ha I had to take a picture of how my little helpers were putting them on... all right next to each other... we had lots of clumping going on....
Max putting on the star...

We couldn't remember who put on the star last year, so as Max was putting it up this year I was checking last years blog post, we discovered Max did it last year too, so we let Parker light this years star up.... seemed fair enough...
gotta have the family photo afterwards...
little blury, final result...
I love the way Christmas decorations make me feel, it's the best having the lights low, and everything lite up at night!!! LOVE this time of year!!!

Annual Tree Hunt

As tradition goes, the day after Thanksgiving we head out to the Tooele Mountains in search for our "perfect" Christmas Tree...here is our clan ready to go...... and hiking up the mountain...
So we got to the spot we usually go and there was slim pickens , so we sent the boys up a little further to a spot we knew there was good ones... the little boys were not up for another hike so we layed low and waited for them to come back... to kill time we built a snowman...
Max rolled the head all by himself, and even shaped it too ha ha, he did awesome!!!
Brooke & Parker took the middle.... and I did the bottom...
when we were done the boys came down with two beautiful trees!!! Great timing...
.... and here is our awesome snow man!!!
I kinda stopped taking pictures at this point cause we started back down the mountain...and because Bron & I got lost...(little story here) Matt went first and we all followed... Bron was cold and was crying so I was kinda trying to follow Matt so I could get down fast, but he got away from me... I was still with the group at this point but Bron was still crying so I decided to just go and meet them down, cause they were stopped for some reason... I was 15 yards away waiting for them, but wanted to get Bron down... turns out we weren't where I thought we were and just a few minutes later Bron & I were totally LOST!!! We hiked down a part of the mountain to a road, when I got to the road I was all turned around and couldn't decide which way to go... I started going, the way I thought was down, but it turned out I was going up... (sounds weird, but I couldn't tell) I was starting to get pretty nervous and thought I would end up closer to a spot that looked familiar... turns out I was walking further & further away... Bron had to take a potty break so I decided while I was stopped I should stop yelling and listen... I heard very faint yells, then I heard my Uncle say my name... yaaayyy!!! I was found... We were only lost for probably 20 minutes or so, not long enough for me to really freak out, but I was getting scared... I was mad at myself, for even getting into the situation, I have been hiking that mountain since I was like 6 so I kinda thought I knew where to go... but turned out I didn't ... I felt bad cause we had the whole fam, like 25 people, searching and yelling for us... I got a little emotional when we saw everyone and how worried they all were... in the end it was no biggie, but for that 2o minutes I got a little taste of what it would be like to be lost in the Mountains, hopeless, and it was so weird how backwards I got... your mind doesn't think straight in situations like that... it's crazy... all sorts of things go thru your mind... I sure felt loved though... everyone immediately scattered and a search party was out looking for us... glad it wasn't a scarier situation.... Thanks to everyone for looking for us!!!! And in the end, mission accomplished we got a Christmas Tree!!!!
