THANKS B.I LOVE both of these, I can't decide which one to go with to put on the mantle...

I LOVE these too, my boys are so stinken handsome...

YaY!! So fun, some of them still need to be fine tuned, I really like the finishing she did on some of them, I'll probably end up doing that to all of them... so, CUTE & FUN!!!

The Blue Bombers & The Black Bats!!!

Parker and Max started Soccer. They had there first game last Saturday, and I am loving it already!! This is Max's first year playing the real deal, he did the start smart program thru Sandy city about a year or so ago... he seems to like it... he seems to like that he is playing just like big brother...

Max and his team mates... and half of his coach a.k.a DAD!!! Brad pretty much got suckered into coaching again this year... he does a good job and is really cute with the boys, and Max LOVES that his dad is the coach, he was grinning ear to ear when I told him his dad was going to coach... It's worked out great this year, I do all the "paper work" and emailing and Brad is on the field. It has been fun!!!

... and our STAR PLAYER... Parker, ok so I'm totally going to pretty much just brag about this kid here for a bit, let me just start out and say I was worried for Parker to play because we switched Leagues this year and are playing thru AYSO, his age group REALLY plays soccer no more just kicken the ball and hopen it gets in the net... they are playing on a bigger field and playing defense, and offense and totally "running plays" We missed several seasons so I was worried he would'nt be ready for this but he proved me wrong, he made several goals and was tear'n it up... he held his own ... to say the least... he pretty much kicks butt, he really is good and still has his speed!!! It was so fun to watch him and so fun to see that he LOVES it and feels good about what he is doing!!!
He is on the same team as his friend Camden and Camden's Dad is the coach, who we LOVE. We got pretty lucky and are so glad it has worked out this way!!! It is so fun, we are blessed to be surrounded by such great people and that our boys are able to do this, it is sooo good for them!! If ya can't tell I'm sorta excited about it all, I get so much joy in watching my children succeed and do something that makes them feel good about themselves!!!

Random I know but I had to add these cute pictures... Bron got out of bed the other night and Parker volunteered to go rock him... a little later I heard Parker mumbling I walked into this... Parker reading a little bedtime story to brother....MOST ADORABLE THING EVER!!! Parker really is such a great older brother, he is so sweet to Bron and totally takes care of him...
It was funny too how close Bron's face was to the book ha ha.. Thanks Parker!!! Now if he could treat Max with the same respect... that would be great!! Ha ha, he's good to him too, there's just more wrestling than storytime...

Sniffles

OK so my friend Beth just posted her son's birthday pictures on her blog. Her son is 14, and she put all these cute pictures of him, and his little brother who is like 12, on it of when they were little and put this song on... I of course was crying and told her I was copying her and putting this song on my blog... I want to remind myself to enjoy every minute of this stage in my life, I get so sad to think of my boys growing up... so this will probably make me cry every time I check my blog but, as a reminder to me and others who get frustrated with your little chillies, cause being a mom isn't all kicks and giggles, it's hard stuff too, but like the song says, let them be little cause they're not like that for very long... and they're not always going to need you like they do now...

(feel free to add this song to your blog too and then scroll thru all your own pictures... I recommend this if your in the mood for a good cry...)

Back-To-School

Well here we go again, another school year is upon us... Our Parker started the 2nd grade... I'm excited for another year and I am loving getting back into a schedule... Parker has a love-hate relationship with school, there are things he really likes about it, but won't admit it... but he also does not like the idea of homework and what not... it may take him a week or so to get back into the swing of things... during dinner he was complaining of his feet hurting cause he'd been on them all day.... apparently we've had a lazy summer... ... sending him off... I have to admit I got a little emotional. I wasn't expecting that, but sending him out into the "world" again, where I don't know his every move... still kinda hard...

... here's to the second grade!! Goooo Parker!!!

Monster Truck Rally

We went to the Monster Truck Rally on Saturday at Rio Tinto Stadium, thanks to some free tickets from Semissi & Ben... the boys seemed to enjoy themselves... we hit some rides before
the show but at a buck fitty a ticket and 3 tickets per ride X 3 boys we hit 3 rides... sure adds up... but the kids had fun!

Thanks to Brad who went on the rides with them, so I did'nt have to.... We grabbed a bite to eat... and had a seat...
...put in the ear plugs cause it's loud....
... and watched the racen... they had the montster trucks come out, they did some racing and then these four wheeler guys came out...and some other UTV's and then a while later they got into the monster truck free style, which I thought was the most entertaining... The boys seemed to enjoy themselves... Bron was kinda all over the place and Max kept asking when it was gonna be over... but still liked it... and Park was into it, picking & cheering for what guy he wanted to win... so ya fun time, thanks mom & dad for going with us...

Jam!!!

Well it's that time of year again... summer is winding down which means it must be time to make Jam...!!! My sisters and I have made jam for the last several years now.... and I LOVE it, it is so fun to get together and laugh and smash berries... it is messy but worth it all... we just do the freezer jam... and we do a raspberry, strawberry mix... we seem to always forget which kind of pecton to buy and what works best... so we wrote it all down this year so we don't forget... since some of us have bad memories and can't even remember who's house we make jam at... he he heanyways... it all turned out great, I think I got 11 jars out of two cases of strawberries and a flat of raspberries.... (from costco) so hopefully it will last me all year... until we make it again... we'll see....

cute baby boone... making a mess with the markers...
Bron and Owen our " two, twin, toe headed, trouble makers...."

... after jam we played in the water outside... and hung out, the kids had lots of fun !!!

Thanks Kara for letting us do it at your house (again), I love this little tradition, it's so fun!!!

wish I may, wish I might....

We were sitting outside on Sunday night with my parents and got to talking about shooting stars... the kids really wanted to see one... so it just so happened that there was going to be a meteor shower a few days from then.... so we decided to drive up Little Cottonwood, last night, away from the city lights to get a better glimpse at the meteor shower so the kids could see some shooting stars... it was pretty fun... we parked up by Alta and threw a blanket out on the road... the side of the road...
all snuggled up waiting for the show to start... we ended up seeing quite a few... Brad saw a ton like over 40... and the kids saw a dozen or so... it was fun to see the different kinds, some were really bright, some really faint, some were super fast, and some had awesome "tails" we even saw a double one... it was fun when we would all see one at the same time... and funny when just one of us would see one... we were trying to think of funny things to say when we would see one... Parker came up with geronimo, and accapella .... so they would yell that when they when they saw one...
the night ended with all the chillies asleep... and Brad and I hanging out with the kids between us... it really was fun, some good family bonding time... it was funny too cause when we got there, there was a car or two up there... and when we left the whole place was full of people doing the same thing we were doing... it was funny when there was a good one, cause you could hear everyone oooing and aweing... like a firework show...

Good Times!!!
