So my sister Kara was going to Twin Falls for a friends, family sealing ceremony, my sister Kalli wanted to go shopping before our trip to Cali, so we combined the two trips, and last minute, all cancelled our plans, got babysitters and hit the road!!!

we went shopping, didn't really walk away with much, but it was still fun, and a day without wiping boogers, or yelling at someone in the store!

we drove by the ol' homestead! A lot of great memories were made at this house! I love going back and visiting where I grew up! SO fun! We had such a fun time! I love spending with my sisters! It's one of my most very favorite things... love you ladies!!!
We went over to Brooke & Matt's the other night, because they helped me make a new shelf for our front room,...{Which is fabulous} I figured since we were there working with tools, Parker might as well spend a little time with Matt in the garage with the tools and pass off a page or two in the ol' scout book! {uncle} Matt was so sweet to show Parker how to identify and use some of them, Thanks Uncle Matt!!

We went with his class to Farnsworth Farms, went on a hay ride, took a trip around the 'orchard', went and saw how their juice is made... played on the playground and picked an apple!!!
Teacher Heather asked who wanted to help... Cute Bron hopped right up and volunteered for the job of passing out juice...
ok so he only passed out juice to like 4 kids and then decided he was done, but hey I still give him credit for being such a good helper!

The Bless-ED Blankie???
I just had to post this... if you know Bron, you know he LOVES< LOVES< his blankie...{hand stitched by Aunt Kalli} and it is really, staring to show!! There is a particular spot on the blankie that he seems to LOVE the most, it is always dirty, and worn very thin... well he wore it OUT! Created a big ol' hole, which turned into a massive rip!!
So as you can see, (this moment has been a long time coming) we had to officially CUT OFF a major chunk and re-sew it... we of course kept even the small piece we cut off.... I have a feeling this blanket will just keep getting smaller and smaller until it eventually just disappears... so he has a 'new,, smaller version' blankie!!
Well it seems like I was just posting this awesome picture last year... I posted it again cause I like it, and cause we just celebrated our 11th Anniversary!! We were married September 10, 1999 in the Salt Lake Temple We didn't officially get to celebrate our Anniversary since we were driving to Rexburg... we did however exchange gifts on the way out the door... I got Brad camping stuff of course... and ... he got me this awesome double, yes [double] waffle maker!! We like our waffles around here and these ones that flip are the best waffle makers ever... so a double is a pritty big deal!!! Brad is the centimental type and looks up {every year} what Anniversary "gift" your supposed to give... you know like the 25 years its silver 50 is gold... well Brad has 'looked it up' every year so like the first year I think is paper... ha ha so I got something paper I honestly don't even remember anyhoo so 11 years is steel, thus the {shiny new waffle maker} and oooh we tested it out! and oooh it is fabulous!!! so there ya have it we met 13 years ago, two young lovers... we blinked our eyes and next thing ya know we have 4 kids and were both 30 something? Time flys!! I am grateful I have Brad to go thru this ONE life time experience!!! Here's to 11 more!!! N.L.K XOXOXO
We packed up and headed to Idaho to attend good ol' Rabbitstick... for those of you who don't know what Rabbitstick is... click here to find out more... it's basically a Mountain Man Rendevou where people get together and teach/learn basic outdoor skills.... Brad went on an outdoor survival camp way back in the day and got turned out to this whole thing and we have been going ever since... here's some of the views on our way into Rexburg... { I love Idaho!!}
We got to the hotel, the kids got ready to go swimming {of course} and then also, {of course} they jumped on the beds!!! Parker was doing flips from bed to bed! Tricky boy! Reese being a very good happy girl! A born 'Rabbitsticker' Bron was in heaven... this is seriously just right up his 'alley'... running around wild, playing with sticks, getting dirty, fire, no shoes, no worries in the world!!! Reese & I just chillen Max climben trees these next few picts give you an idea of the Rabbitsticker type... ha ha... this group of rugged guys are some of the head honchos in the Rabbitstick world... ancient and wise... Albert & Hawk ~ two of my favorites!!! during this time, "what they call, "commercials"... the staff/instructors get up and announce what classes they will be teaching for the week, this year they tried something new where all the instructors set up blankets all around the perimeter of the main fire pit and had a display of what they would be instructing, it worked out great and gave those interested in what they had displayed time to go talk to them and get more details... there are all sorts of classes: fire making, brain tanning, flintknapping, knife & sheath making, cordage, widdling, animal processing, etc/ etc/ we sadly only could stay for a couple of days right before it even got started, but it was great to see everyone again and to be able to just be there, even if it was only for a bit... I love Rabbitstick, when I went 11 years ago, for the first time, I was blown away and a little freaked out, there are some real "interesting" people here, but we have gotten to know so many of them and I love them all they have taught me a lot about "people" I love that we go and love that my kids can go and learn from these people too, I think growing up in Utah you can be a bit "sheltered" from anyone who's "different" Rabbitstick gives us an opportunity to get to know all walks of life ha ha...
